Just really, really nice....

Some great photos by Gonzo himself. There is no other way to put it really.

So I Was Just Walking Along and Then...

First big news of Christmas is our first couple of Hoody and Sweater prints... We are not sure if they are going to be available through the website but we are going to try and set up some type of request system... more details to follow very soon!

Think this one was done in Hannover about two years ago.

Shapes & Splines (final version - Ambient Dub techno) by Fingers In The Noise

Shapes & Splines (final version - Ambient Dub techno) by Fingers In The Noise

Heres a fine little track to help you with the mid-week calm before the storm (I'm not entirely sure what the difference between Ambient and Ambeint-Dub-Techno is but it does sound a lot more professional I guess)... At Handsum Designs we are going to be getting some little felt-tip doodles and things, which haven't really got a purpose other than having been done to pass the time, up over the next couple of days so heres a little starter to enjoy:

Golden Oldies

One of the oldies.... I've spent time trawling through some of our old designs and came across this flyer design for 'Beans on Toast' at Thekla (Bristol), featuring LTJ Bukem, Atomic Hooligan and Joker amongst others.... From what I remember it was a good night.

Theres also evidence of the old Handsum Designs Logo before we came up with something that wasn't shit.

The Music Scene

A nice little video here, just to get the creative juices flowing... Blockhead- The Music Scene

On a Handsum Designs front, the square wheels are in motion to get colour (I know that looks cheesy) t-shirts as well as hoodies and jumpers over the next month, so keep your eyes peeled!

Underage Gigs

Here is a great little website called Underage Gigs which has been set up by a friend of ours and is aimed at getting under 18s involved in live music... A very worthwhile cause! Anyway I'll let the about section do the talking, take a look and spread the word:

UnderageGigs.com provides a free service to young fans wishing to see their favourite bands play live. In addition, parents will find it convenient to find information on just one site about the gigs that their teenagers want to see.

UnderageGigs.com is not itself a ticket agent, but with just one click provides a direct link to the 'Buy Now' page of the relevant booking agent for the chosen gig.

UnderageGigs.com has conveniently labelled every gig listing, so that at a glance the specific age restrictions are available e.g. 14+, 16+ and “all age with an adult” etc.

UnderageGigs.com aims to keep music live for young people.

Hear, hear... to the music

Here's a band that we have been banging on about for a while now.... they are a really great live act and are clearly a group of very talented musicians accompanied by amazing lyrics which actually make sense and don't just deal with the wonderful world of guns, biatches and bling.... If you get a chance to go and see them then don't miss it!

If you already know about Dizraeli then I highly recommend that you check out the new(ish) remix of 'Bomb Tesco' by Scifax on their Myspace.

Another day another honour

So Handsum Designs has been up and running for almost two weeks now and the first orders have been processed and delivered which we are really happy about. We have also gained a bit of publicity via the photographer Big Bozo as he went around Bristol during Upfest 2010, here is his picture below....
And a quick heads up.... Handsum Design T-shirts are going to start being stocked in various shops around Bristol so keep your eyes peeled and be lucky!

One of the original (unoriginals)

Here's one of Handsum's first ever t-shirts from way back in 2007. Created thanks to a fair bit of plagiarism and the imagination of the one and only Phil *Buck...

A true story...

And a nice bit of Handsum graffiti which was put up a couple of months ago and has managed to stand the fickle test of street art time...

One bright day in the middle of the night
Two dead boys got up to fight
Back to back they faced each other
Drew their swords and shot each other

A deaf policeman heard the noise
And arrested those two dead boys
If you don't believe this lie is true
Ask the blind man... he saw it too.
