After much delay on our side due to various events and celebration we are excited to announce another addition to our collection thanks to the fine doodle works of With Thrashes. With Thrashes has been selling t-shirts in Leeds (which can be found here) and through her blog for a while now as well as creating t-shirts to be won at the ‘Live and Unamplified’ nights down at the Book Club. In her own words her work With Thrashes began by... “fiddling with biros as a way to alleviate boredom during maths and science lessons. Finding it more satisfying drawing creatures than shapes, her books were soon covered in creepy looking beasts and twisted humans. Skeletons, trees, body-parts and seaweed are her main inspirations, although uncomfortable and awkward moments will do just fine.”

Help Develop Bristol! This weekend!

Here’s a very worthy cause for also around in Bristol to help out with for which we made the flyer and poster... GET INVOLVED!

Under the Motorway' invites residents of Easton, Eastville and beyond to help us add just a touch of love to the space under the M32. Join us at Napier Road over the weekend of the 16th-17th April on either day from midday to paint, garden and decorate this neglected part of our community. There will be music and food on the day to keep busy bees buzzing away painting these enormous pillars a selection of beautiful pastel colours, trimming back overgrown greenery and hanging bunting.

If you can volunteer your time to help organise the weekend, donate things like food or tools, or have any other ideas for the space or the weekend itself please get in touch. We also want designs for the bottoms of the pillars; messages tothe community, loved ones, adverts, illustrations..... all ideas welcome.

The wall of walls really...

After years of trawling through websites for images and the like I have to say that this is probably in my top two of impressive discoveries... It has even taken top spot this week over the recently finished Skateboard Design for Temwa... but more of that later

Tis very profound...

Inspired by a documentary on the build up of the music scene in Bristol, massive thanks to Jazzy T, as well as the limits to my imagination/ things I can draw in an afternoon... definitely worth a listen especially if you are Bristol based: The Bristol Underground Story - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00yb5md/Way_Out_West_The_Bristol_Underground_Story_Episode_1/

Jamie XX (Mix for Colette)

01 Jamie XX mix for Colette 10

Leading on from yesterdays post... here is a really nice mix that was created by the same artist (the drum boxer/ producer of the much acclaimed 'The XX') some time in 2010 I believe. A very impressive set list.

(SeƱor Pajaro)

And I though it might be nice to add a little doodle which was inspired by a very long wait for a plane to Berlin over Christmas... with maybe a hint of Disney.

Jamie xx - Far Nearer

Just a nice little tune... reminds me of my days when I lived on a beach, with my turtles friends, drinking coconut juice... Those were the days!
